Collin Alexander & Dr. Brian Thompson Named to Board of Trustees

ANDERSON, SC — New Covenant School (NCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Collin Alexander and Dr. Brian Thompson to its Board of Trustees.

A 2012 graduate of The Citadel, Collin Alexander served as a naval aviator in the United States Marine Corps before transitioning into the technology sector, where he has spent the past seven years as a senior account executive and entrepreneur. He was also recently elected to Anderson County Council, where he will begin serving in January.

Collin and his wife, Ashley, have been members of New Covenant Church since 2023. All four of their children attend NCS, where Ashley also serves as a part-time teacher.

"I've seen firsthand the value of classical education both in my own life and my children's, and I want that same thing for the families in our community,” said Alexander. “I am honored to be a member of the board. I believe that New Covenant is headed in the right direction and it is only going to get better."

Dr. Brian Thompson is a board-certified anesthesiologist and partner at Anesthesiology Services of Anderson, providing care at AnMed. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina before completing his anesthesiology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He previously served as President of the South Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists.

He and his wife, Ashley, have been members of New Covenant Church since 2017, and their three daughters attend NCS.

"My wife and I have watched New Covenant School shape our three daughters since each of them started in Pre-K,” said Thompson. “Now, with one of them in the Upper School, we've seen how much they have grown academically, in character, and in their faith, all within a Christ-centered education. NCS has been a true partner to our family, and I'm honored to serve on the board to help the school keep growing and thriving so that future families in our community can have the same opportunity we've been blessed with."

“We are thrilled to welcome Collin and Brian to our Board,” said Head of School Chaston Hart. “Both men bring valuable experience, a deep commitment to our mission, and a desire to see New Covenant School flourish for generations to come.”

“Collin and Brian will be tremendous additions to our Board,” added Board Chairman Andy Rountree. “Both bring unique perspectives and a genuine heart for service. I look forward to working alongside them as we continue to strengthen the foundation of our school for the future.
