Affording New Covenant

As a parent, you understand that your child's education is one of the most significant investments you'll ever make…

Investing in a Christian education is an investment in your child’s future. The experiences and values nurtured today shape who they will become tomorrow. Over the course of their education, from Kindergarten through 12th Grade, your child will spend more than 15,000 hours in school. These crucial years lay the foundation for their future, offering daily opportunities for growth and development. Just as adults do, children often absorb the values of their coaches, teachers, and peers. Our students are challenged each day to think critically, reason Biblically, and live gloriously for Christ. Our dedicated faculty and Christ-centered community are eager to welcome you to the New Covenant family!

Consider what Variable Tuition might look like for your family.

New Covenant School is dedicated to making enrollment accessible to Christian families across various financial situations. Our Variable Tuition program enables us to tailor tuition rates based on each family's ability to contribute to their educational expenses.

2025-26 Tuition Ranges

The highest amount shown for each grade level is the standard rate for parents who do not qualify or do not choose to apply for Variable Tuition. Through support of the Covenant Fund and shared facilities with New Covenant Church, no family pays 100% of the cost to educate each student. Instead of passing on the full cost of education, New Covenant families pay no more than approximately 80% per student, which represents the highest tuition amount shown.

a. The Student Engagement Fee (SEF) is a combined fee intended to simplify the tuition schedule. It includes the previously separate Materials, Activities, and Facilities Fees as well as the additional fees for various grades outlined below. Each grade’s SEF is not optional and is required for all students.

b. Materials, Activities, Facilities, Barrier Island Field Trip, & Testing

c. Materials, Activities, Facilities, House Camp, & Testing

d. Materials, Activities, Facilities, House Camp, Testing Fee, Graduation Fee, & Senior Trip

Additional Information

  • Outside of tuition and the Student Engagement Fee, the few additional costs you may incur include, but are not limited to, lunches, uniforms, school supplies, yearbooks, and participation fees for activities such as athletics and theater.

  • Our Application Fee is $75 and is non-refundable.

Upon acceptance, a non-refundable Tuition Deposit equal to 5% of the highest total tuition (not considering a Variable Tuition rate) is due in order to reserve your child’s seat. This deposit counts toward your total tuition cost. It is not an additional fee.

All families are required to create and annually renew a FACTS account for payments. The associated fee, determined by your selected payment plan, is either $55 or $25 and will be paid directly to FACTS.

  • Unless a payment plan has been established, tuition is due by August 1st of each academic year. Acceptance of a student for enrollment constitutes a significant financial commitment on the part of the school (personnel, classroom space, books, curriculum, and supplies). Therefore, all deposits, tuition, and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Variable Tuition

Think you can’t afford quality Christian education? Think again.

We aim to ensure that families who embrace the philosophy and values of New Covenant School can join us in providing their children with an exceptional classical Christian education. To support this, we offer a customized tuition approach through our Variable Tuition model for full-time students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Tuition is determined based on your family’s income, expenses, and assets.

Tuition is no longer a one-size-fits-all model.

New Covenant School is delighted to partner with your family! We recognize that families have diverse financial circumstances. Our Variable Tuition program takes these differences into account, offering a range of tuition rates tailored to fit each family’s situation. To receive a Variable Tuition determination, prospective families must submit an Application for Enrollment and be accepted to the school.

Variable Tuition applications open on December 1.

New Covenant assesses a family’s complete financial picture, including annual income, assets, debts, and the number of children enrolled in tuition-paying K-12 schools, to determine their tuition rate. This process provides families with a clear understanding of their potential educational costs.

Variable Tuition FAQs

  • Variable Tuition is a program that reflects New Covenant’s commitment to providing access to classical Christian education for families of all income levels. Variable Tuition allows families to qualify for a variable tuition rate based on their unique financial circumstances.

This is not a loan program. The amount of reduced tuition will never need to be “repaid.”

  • Any prospective or current family with students in Kindergarten to 12th Grade may apply for Variable Tuition if they are concerned about affording the full tuition rate at New Covenant School.

To determine if a family qualifies for Variable Tuition, New Covenant partners with FACTS, a third-party financial processor of Variable Tuition applications for independent schools across the country. FACTS determines a family’s ability to pay tuition based upon an “Estimated Family Contribution” (EFC) calculation that takes into account many of the factors that make up a family’s overall financial picture, including but not limited to income, assets, household size, unusual expenses, and family size.

The Variable Tuition Committee evaluates each application in a fair, consistent, and confidential manner. We take time to understand the nuances and unique circumstances of each family.

  • No. Variable Tuition is available for families with full-time students in grades Kindergarten through 12.

The availability of Variable Tuition may vary based on the entering grade level, space in a grade, number of applicants, and budgeted funds. To be considered in the first round of Variable Tuition, please apply and have all supporting documentation submitted by March 15th. Beyond this initial date, applications are considered on a rolling basis. Families must apply within the established deadlines and qualify to receive Variable Tuition.

  • Unfortunately, not. While New Covenant makes a considerable investment in the program each year, we are not able to offer Variable Tuition to every student who qualifies for both admission and Variable Tuition due to a finite amount of funds available.

  • All Variable Tuition applications are confidential. Faculty are not privy to any family’s financial materials, nor are they aware of which families apply for Variable Tuition.

In the case of applications from multiple households, all financial information is kept strictly confidential, and at no time will one household have access to the other’s information.

In fact, New Covenant considers all Variable Tuition decisions to be confidential agreements between the school and the recipient family and expects both parties to treat them that way.

  • We understand that there is great diversity in families’ incomes and assets. Our Variable Tuition program recognizes those differences and provides a range of tuition so that we charge the rates that are right for our families.

Peer schools with similar models have found that it changes perceptions about affordability and increases the number of prospective families considering a private classical Christian education, which in turn enriches a school’s student body and the overall community.

  • New Covenant partners with FACTS to process Variable Tuition applications. Every year families submit a Parent Financial Statement (PFS) to FACTS, which processes the information and provides an analysis.

New Covenant has a generous Variable Tuition budget; however, it is not unlimited. To be considered in the first round of Variable Tuition, please apply and have all supporting documentation submitted by March 15th. Beyond this initial date, applications are considered on a rolling basis. It is required that families follow the Variable Tuition timeline in order to receive full consideration.

  • Yes, there is a $45 non-refundable application fee per application, paid directly to FACTS.

  • Families who receive a Variable Tuition rate can expect to receive similar amounts of funding each year if their financial circumstances remain the same. However, every family must reapply for Variable Tuition each year and meet all stated deadlines. If the current financial picture for a family changes significantly, the amount of Variable Tuition will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the new amount of demonstrated need.

  • New Covenant requires that, to be considered for Variable Tuition, each parent/guardian household must submit a separate Variable Tuition application along with all tax documents and forms. Consideration of all available resources from both parents/guardians and their spouses is based on the principle that a family’s contribution for education is a reflection of “the ability to contribute, not the willingness to contribute,” which is standard FACTS policy.

After New Covenant determines a Variable Tuition rate for the student, it is the responsibility of the parents to determine a payment schedule structure.

If a parent is no longer involved in the life of the child in any way, please contact us at business@newcovschool.net to determine how to proceed.

  • View our tuition schedule in the chart up above.

  • March 15th: Variable Tuition application deadline

April 30th: Copies of the prior year's tax return are required to process Variable Tuition applications. Determinations will not be granted without this documentation. To ensure eligibility, please submit your prior year tax return no later than April 30th.

Upon full completion of the application, Variable Tuition determinations will be communicated as soon as possible.
