We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Dana Coker to our New Covenant family as our new third grade teacher! Mrs. Coker has been married to her husband, Buddy, for 35 years. They are lifelong residents of Anderson. She has two grown children, Chas and Molly, three beautiful grandchildren, Jude (3), Clark (20 months), Kennedy (20 months), and one more granddaughter scheduled to arrive around Christmas. Mrs. Coker and her husband attend Covenant Baptist church.

Mrs. Coker knew that God had called her to be a teacher when she was in elementary school. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Erskine College and a Masters in Reading from Clemson University. She has been teaching for 36 years. Mrs. Coker spent her years teaching in Anderson 5 and taught at Centerville Elementary for the last 6 years.

Mrs. Coker was drawn to NCS after accompanying a student on a field trip to a play. She was impressed by the kindness and sweetness of the students. There is a sweet spirit among students that an outsider sees and feels the minute they are around them. She has felt welcome and part of the NCS family since the first day. The faculty, staff, parents and students of NCS are a blessing each and every day! She hopes to be a blessing to them as well.
