Welcome New Second Grade Teacher Mrs. Dakiri Neely

Mrs. Dakiri Neely is the proud mother of two students at New Covenant School, Charlotte (6) and Maxwell (4). She began her first year at NCS as a first-year parent and a substitute teacher for preschool through upper school. During her time as a substitute teacher, Mrs. Neely substituted for preschool aides, 3K & 4K classrooms, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, 10th grade and art classes.

Prior to working at New Covenant School, Mrs. Neely taught third grade in Virginia at the elementary school where she completed her student teaching requirements for licensure. She completed and received her licensure from Lynchburg College (now University of Lynchburg) along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.

When Mrs. Neely is not teaching, she is making memories with her family of four. The Neely family loves lake swimming, science experimenting, art creating, dessert baking, board gaming, and just dancing! Every Sunday, the Neelys attend NewSpring Church and love seeing other NCS families there. While Mrs. Neely is looking forward to a relaxing summer with her family, she is also eager to get in the classroom with her second graders and work with the amazing staff at NCS!
