Leadership Update!

New Covenant School is overseen by a seven member Board. During the summer of 2018 New Covenant has had four Board seats come open. We are excited to announce that we have filled our four Board seats with four highly qualified individuals. We are going to announce and feature each one. The final new Board member we would like to welcome is Mr. Rob Wright.
Rob was born in Tennessee and has lived in Alabama and Florida, but he’s happily spent the last 18 years in Anderson. He is thankful to have been married to Marie for 22 years and has 3 awesome kids that attend New Covenant School. Rob is also a ruling elder at New Covenant Church.
Rob earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. He works as Director of Product Development at Fortis Riders, a Greenville based company.
Please welcome Mr. Rob Wright to our Board!

New School Board Member, David Moore

New Covenant School is overseen by a seven member Board. During the summer of 2018 New Covenant has had four Board seats come open. We are excited to announce that we have filled our four Board seats with four highly qualified individuals. We are going to announce and feature each one. The next new Board member we would like to welcome is Mr. David Moore.

David Moore was born in Denver, Colorado but grew up all over the US as his family traveled with the Air Force.  His parents were both originally from Gaffney, SC so the Upstate has always been “home”.  David finished high school in Gaffney, earned his BA in Communication from Clemson University, and later earned an MBA from Gardner-Webb University.  For the past 14 years David has worked for Habitat for Humanity, serving in various positions at local affiliates and at their US headquarters.  He is currently serving as the local Director at Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County.

David has always had a heart for youth and education.  He has taught classes for groups of homeschool students, served as an assistant scout master, lead groups of students on alternative break trips, and coordinated international volunteer trips for groups of students to engage in service projects overseas.

We are excited to have David join our School Board! Please join us in welcoming him.

July Update

Welcome to the July Update for NCS!

Summer is heating up and we are gearing up for August!

We hope all of our families are having a fun and blessed summer! We have been busy and we want our families to know what is going on around our school, so below are some updates.

Prayer Requests

Please be in prayer for Mrs. Alisa Lamb and Mrs. Liz Pearson as they both lost their mothers this summer.

Also please be in prayer for Mrs. Brandi Hallmark who has been diagnoses with cancer. She has surgery August 1st and a treatment plan will be decided 4 to 5 days after her surgery.

Communications

  • Supply Lists – Have you received your supply list? If not, you can find the lists here.
  • Facebook – New to the school? Have you liked us on Facebook or Instagram? This is a great way to keep up with things going on at NCS!
  • All of our faculty will be switching over to email addresses that end with @newcovschool.net. Most faculty will have first initial, last name @newcovschool.net.
  • Mr. Canney’s new email is canney@newcovschool.net.

Work Day

There is a lot going on this summer! We are adding a new Kindergarten class, moving our 5th grade classroom, converting an existing room into a classroom, and renovating some other rooms.
With so much to do, we need help! Would you be willing to help out with a New Covenant School Work Day on July 28th from 9:00 AM until Noon? If so, please let Mr. Canney know! Email him at canney@newcovschool.net

Back to School Night

Save the Dates – Back to School Night is coming up on Monday, August 20 at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be provided and this is an event for the whole family. First Day of School will be Wednesday, August 22!
