First Quarter Honor Roll

013215ed3c66259aec689aeedab875a7451b96ca18A big congratulations to our students who earned a place on the Honor Roll for the first quarter! Our goal is to praise the Lord for His grace towards us when we accomplish anything. Therefore our Honor Roll gives our school and our students reason to praise God. Of course our temptation is to praise ourselves, so our prayer is that our families and students would remember Colossians 3:23-24, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”

The House System

all gridCOLOR

New Covenant School is excited to announce that we have added a House System to our Upper School. Every 6th through 12th grader has been placed in a house that they will remain a part of forever. The Houses accumulate points throughout the year with friendly competitions and random acts of kindness.

The Houses are named after our founding Pastor, Dr. David Rountree and our previous Headmasters, Mr. Maurice Lopez, Mr. Dennis Bills, and Mr. Joey Thames.

The Houses are based on Psalm 1, especially verse 3…

“He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”

The House System was introduced when our students attended an Upper School Fall Retreat at Camp Hope, September 6th through 8th. The House fun began immediately with the students competing in various games and activities. The goal of the program is to improve the student experience at NCS by giving our students increased opportunities for fellowship. Below are some pictures of the Houses from the retreat!
